   Lower Start For Crop Prices Turns Mixed Wednesday

   After Tuesday afternoon's USDA report showed good planting progress,
Wednesday started as another predominantly red day for price quotes in the
grain sector. But by the end of the session, new-crop prices of corn and
soybeans were well above their lows of the day and July soy products were
steady to higher.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

   July corn ended steady and December corn was down 3 1/2 cents. July soybeans
closed up 3 1/4 cents and November soybeans were down 6 3/4 cents. July KC
wheat closed up 6 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 3 1/4 cents and
September Minneapolis wheat was down 12 cents.
